Plan and schedule work, processes, and materials, primarily through the use of a computerized maintenance management system or other work order system to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.  Work closely with operations, maintenance personnel and maintenance manager to plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly work schedules.  Maintain proper spare parts inventory level for the plant including critical spare parts. Must determine and order needed parts.  Plan all capital projects and ensure that they are completed accurately and on schedule.

 

Job description:

  • Prepare PM plans and schedules to meet maintenance goals
  • Ensure the completion of scheduled projects and adjust schedule to account for unexpected emergency work
  • Work with operations and maintenance personnel to provide prompt consultation and solution on maintenance related problems
  • Assist with the development, installation, and start-up of equipment
  • Assist/oversee the safe maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Ensure the execution of planned maintenance, calibration, repairs and installation to minimize equipment downtime
  • Responsible for all technical functions related to design, drafting, calculation, specifications, planning, purchasing of equipment, facilities and systems
  • Maximize equipment reliability
  • Work with team to establish and maintain maintenance standards, including an adequate safety program
  • Provide engineering design and specification for capital projects
  • Must ensure that product quality, quantity, delivery and cost objectives are met as it relates to duties under responsibility
  • Responsible for directing training programs for new equipment
  • Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance functions
  • Responsible for security, plant emergency and safety procedures and policies
  • Must inspect all under pressure equipment; must repair in compliance with insurance company or government guidelines
  • Work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager

 

Required:

Education: Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree

Work Experience:  Experience in lieu of degree will be considered
